Pre-assembled Tiny House

Our mission is to provide the industry with a post-modern tiny house that can be pre-assembled in a factory and transported to the individual site where it will be assembled and erected. The tiny house concept is driven by the current trend in the market for smaller homes and is ideal for:

• Downscaled retirement homes
• Lock-up-and-go homes
• Vacation homes
• Rental income options

Our tiny house is designed to meet the latest SANS10400-XA and SANS204 regulations for energy-efficient design and construction, as outlined in the National Building Regulations and Building Act. The tiny house has a small footprint, meets international standards, and strives for smaller carbon footprints. The only work required on site is the construction of the reinforced concrete base (and retaining wall if necessary). If municipal services are available, the tiny house will be connected to water, sewer, and electrical services using standard construction methods.

Green Rating: Our tiny house is designed to achieve a 4-star rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) by incorporating the following green features:

• Floors: RC surface beds and slabs with insulation and new, green-rated finishing materials like tiles, carpets, and timber flooring.
• Walls: Brick plastered walls finished with Rhinolite skim coat and painted with green-rated materials.
• Ceilings: Suspended ceiling boards with green-rated materials and a compliant fixing system.
• Insulation: Approved insulation material with a high R-value will be inserted in the wall and ceiling voids.
• Windows: Powder-coated aluminum frames with energy-saving glazing, meeting SANS10400-XA and SANS204 requirements for energy efficiency.
• Doors: Door frames and doors with seals, meeting the green rating for materials.
• Sun-shading: Adequate sun-screening on the north, east, and west facades to minimize energy performance requirements.
• Green facade design: A green facade wall to reduce exterior building temperatures by 25 degrees F, improve indoor temperatures, energy balance, and aesthetic value.
• Appliances: Energy-efficient appliances will be used, like gas stoves.
• Sanitary ware: Water-saving fittings and taps, like dual flush toilets, will be installed.
